Multimedia and color blindness.

Some people fght color blindness in multimedia carers by using equipment to measure colour in print, or use special computer programs to measure the color levels and therefore they can estimate what color they are using.
The method ussualy works and in case there is a bigger project with more intense colors, you can allways ask a co-worker to look at the result.

Here is a link where you can find a story like this and others that fight theyr dissorder.

Treating Color Blindness

There is actually no actual cure for completely repairing color blindness.
There exists some diets that help improve the eye sight, but not completely fix it.

Here are some ussefull links regarding the diet:
Hub Pages
edgarcayce.org

There are also special lenses that help people see colors better. They too do not provide the complete color vision.
EveryDayHealth.com

I know this was short but the websites have a lot of specific information.

Color Blindness and Jobs!

Although color blind people function the same as regular people, there are still certain types of jobs that they are not eligible to do.
Those types of jobs involve the need for not just good color detection, but good eyesight in general.
The most common jobs that a color blind person can not do or will have trouble getting in to:
- driving motor vehicles: In some countries, not only are people not allowed to work in the vehicle driving business, but they can also not receive a drivers licence (one of those countries is Romania)
- piloting airplanes and other aircraft
- mixing color for construction and print industries
- police officer/law enforcement
(you can still become a police officer while color blind but it is a huge handicap and it might disable initiation for some people)
- multimedia (TV producing, picture editing, graphic design,...all that can be a challenge for color blind people)
- military
- electronics
(wires of different colors might become troublesome)

There are a lot of things that color blind people have trouble with. Some jobs are unreachable and some can be obtained but with a extreme showing of discipline and a lot of hard work. It all depends on how bad your eyesight when it comes to color actually is.

Here are also some useful links from other blogs and websites, where people talk about their troubles with careers as a color blind person.(some of the information in this post was also drawn from those websites):

Welcome.

Welcome to the Blog.
For the next 9 days we will discuss 3 Genetic disorders:
- Color Blindness
- Hemophilia
- Thalassemia

As you can already see, the description of the disorder is on the right side of the blog, and under it are a few questions that each of you can answer in order to test your knowledge.
The question pools close every 3 days after a new disorder will be posted and will not be available after. So the first pools close/lock at 10.25 AM, 04/21/2010.

Also under every description and quiz, there are some useful links that helped me make the description.

Fell free to ask any question and i will do whatever is in my power to asnwer as quickly as possible.
Please do not post any any offensive content, or any links to offensive, inappropriate or legal materials and sites.
I would also like to ask you that all posts and questions posted must be about the disorder that is currently being discussed.

I would really appreciate if you would all folow the above mentioned rules so that we wont have any unnecessary problems.

Have a nice day and happy reading.
